The Power Of A Full Body Detox
February 23rd, 2007 · Posted in body detox ·I have done it!!!
Done what? I hear you say….
Many of you will be aware that after 10 years of a chronic inflammatory condition I committed to myself that I would compete in a triathlon.
This only became possible to even consider after discovering the power of a full body detox. Within months I went from limping with swollen knees, chronic back pain and many other minor health problems to the belief that I could compete and complete a triathlon.
As you can imagine over the 10 years I had lost a lot of muscle condition and fitness but with the pain and swelling improving everyday I was able to make a start at rebuilding myself and prepare myself to compete in a triathlon.
At age 45, I decided that competing in a triathlon was going to be the point that I put ill health behind me for ever.
I was determined to achieve this, so everyday I worked on my mind and body to get me to that point.
Then on a hot 38c /100f summer day I competed in the triathlon that 14 months before I had committed myself to do.
It was my first ever and gee what an experience, I was in the first timers category along with my 19 year old son who also committed to do his first triathlon with me, which was an added thrill for me.
During the race I did not have any problems with my knees or back, there was no pain, apart from the normal pain anyone would feel competing in a triathlon.
I felt strong throughout the whole race, although in the last 1km of the run, which is the final leg, the heat started to get to me but it did not stop me, I was on a mission. Many did succumb to the heat with over 30 people collapsing from heat exhaustion.
Crossing that line meant leaving 10 years of ill health, pain and suffering behind me, a new life ahead, full of health, wellness, fun and where anything is possible.
It is an understatement to say that it was a special moment in my life. Words can not explain my true feelings right at that time and to top it off I had my wife, Cindy expressing her excitement (which she does so well) from the sidelines and my son coming up and giving me a sweaty hug. (see pictures, I don’t think I need to explain which is the before and after shot)

My time, well I was very pleased with it, I finished 6 minutes behind my son at 1 hour and 26 minutes. I know that may not mean much to you but my son plays a lot of basketball, winning a silver medal in the national titles and last year was the senior school sports captain, so he is no couch potato that just decided on a whim to follow his crazy dad on this adventure, he is quite fit and able so for me I was extremely pleased, and now I am hooked into this triathlon thing, so much so I am planning to do another in 6 weeks.
This is the first time I have competed in anything for over 15 years and boy, I did not realize just how much I missed it.
I hope this inspires many of you that have health problems, weight issues or just want more from life, to consider the power of a full body detox. There is no doubt that it has changed my life, or a better way to put it is that it has given me my life back. I feel I have been given another chance and with the knowledge I have now I will not squander this second chance.
I encourage you to embrace the intuitive healing power of your own body, your only job is to give your body the environment and nutrients it requires to carry out the natural self healing that all our bodies are capable of.
I believe there is no better way to achieve this than through a full body detox and whole foods, oh and by the way, what I mean by whole foods is not a whole Big Mac, I mean food in it’s purist form, unprocessed, unrefined, real food.
You may not aspire to compete in a triathlon or have a major illness but I believe that most people in some way desire a better level of health.
A full body detox will clear your system from the burden of toxins from modern living and help put your body back inbalance. Together with whole foods, you will be giving your body the environment it needs to preform it’s own intuitive healing as it was designed to do in nature, giving you the results you are looking for in both your body weight and total health level.
Ultimately you are responsible for your own health so take control of it now, small steps done repeatedly leads to major change.
You could even take a small step right now by adding a comment to this post below and since you are on a roll take another step by book-marking this blog and come back regularly, this will help build your knowledge as well as inspire and motivate you, which is at the root of all action.
To your natural health

WOW! What an inspiration! I’m trying to detox, mainly from smoking marijuana several times a day, every day, for the last 3 years… and due to a bad diet. I’ve already lost 120 lbs without any help- if I can do that then I KNOW I can be clean. Thank you for giving me the tools to get all this junk out of me… Now I just need to begin. I’m praying for the strength.
